Sliding System FAQs

Are your sliding systems frameless?

Yes. Our sliding systems are truly frameless. Fixed panels are held in place by low-profile clamps, and sliding panels feature unframed glass. There's also no side jambs, bottom tracks, or bulky headers like older sliding systems.

Why choose a sliding system?

Sliding systems open onto themselves, so unlike swinging doors, they take up less space when opened. Given this, sliding systems can be the right option for some bathroom layouts. Some simply prefer the more intricate look and smooth sliding nature of a sliding system.

How much does a sliding system cost?

Pricing large varies on the type of glass, sizing, and layout of your shower space, but on average, our sliding systems cost between $1200 and $1500 all-in.

Do sliding systems leak?

Sliding systems have seams where the panels will meet. Any seam with a possibility of leaking is addressed with clear seals. A water-resistant shower door is accomplished through accurate sizing, fabrication, proper caulking, and clear seals and wipes where needed. Under normal shower conditions, your sliding system will not leak. However, directing the shower spray directly at gaps can generate water seepage, just like a shower curtain would.

How do you keep water inside a sliding system?

All our sliding systems are made to conform to the contour of your shower space, so when doors are closed, you'll experience no leaks under normal shower conditions. We also add seals that revert water back into the shower space for added protection. Most of the water containment will come from a shower space's design, which is why we urge you to read our tips to the perfect shower space.

Are frameless sliding systems easy to clean?

Given that there are no side jambs, bottom tracks, or bulky headers unlike older sliding systems, there are far fewer nooks and crannies for grime to accumulate, and because all the moving parts in a frameless sliding system are exposed, you'll have a much easier task when it's time to clean. When compared tu curtains, glass is also certainly more hygienic.

How long do sliding systems last?

Sliding systems can provide a lifetime of use with minimal maintenance. Keep the glass clean, and lubricate moving parts if ever necessary, and your sliding system will outlast any other bathroom component until you decide to renovate again.

Do sliding systems wobble?

We design every sliding system with proper sizing and within the weight and size tolerances of the system. Given the thicker 3/8" and 1/2" thick glass we use, you'll enjoy a sturdy sliding system that doesn't wobble!
